Two things I am good at are doing my work on the blog, and doing my math homework.
Two things I need to improve are showing my work on tests, and paying attention in class.
My goals for the next 6 weeks is completing my work, studying more, and prepare for my final exam.
Adult Response
In looking at your work, I would like to compliment you on the following 2 things:
In the last 6 weeks of school I will help you reach your goals by:
This first term was okay for me. Ratios, proportions, and rates were really easy, since we learned something like this last year. We also learned how to do a simple sentence, math info, and outrageous answers. The thing I found difficult this term was trying to find a right triangle because I didn’t know how and I would always get confused on them. Since this is the first term, I’ll try my best on term two. Quizzes for me were really easy, but I struggled on larger tests because I would always get nervous and forget what I learned. My favourite thing that I did this term, was making a video with Ana Lopena and Meldrick Agravante. We had to find a video from Sesame Street, then make it as a math video. When we had a grid sheet, we had to make a times table that goes up to 16x16. It was really easy for me, but then I started to struggle when I tried doing the bigger numbers like 11x11. When we started learning phythagoras, I struggled on it because it was really confusing for me and I didn’t know what to do, but then I studied more on it then it became really easy for me. The only thing I am still struggling in pythagoras is finding the b square an a square. Now that we are in term two, I will try doing better in math becuse math is probably one of my weakest subjects. I’m really looking forward to term two.
Term 2 Math Reflection
This term, I got a higher mark. I did really well on the quizzes. Volume was really easy for me, and I understood it really quick. The thing that I struggled on is surface area because it was difficult for me to understand, and somehow I struggled on tests because I usually don’t show my work. I’ll try to do my best for next term by studying more, and showing my work, asking more questions to my teacher, commenting on the blogs more, and explaining more on my blog posts, participate in class more, and do more work in my homework book. In term 2, we learned about converting fractions into percents, surface area, and finding the volume to a rectangular prism, triangular prism, and cylinder. We also learned formulas like LxW and BxH/2. I’m hoping I can improve and focus more on term 3 and I hope I don’t slack as much as I did in term 2.
